What Have I Done to Deserve This?

To celebrate the Pet Shop Boys receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at tonight’s Brit Awards, London electronica duo Moonshot are making the whole of their new album No Sign of Morning free for download until the end of Feb 09.

“The Pet Shop Boys have always been one of our biggest influences and we’re really pleased the music industry is recognising their contribution tonight.” Said Moonshot’s Daniel Kent. “We think our music will appeal to fans of the Pet Shop Boys so we’re going to make it available at no cost between now and when the album officially launches in early April.”

No Sign of Morning has been generating keen interest amongst myspace fans and has been described by Baby Tiger magazine as a 'A future classic, which in moments touches genius’

ABOUT MOONSHOT

‘Disturbing background combined with breathy vocals make you wonder if you are in a demented psych ward.’

Music Critic Magazine

Moonshot release their new album No Sign of Morning continuing the bands prolific output, which has produced five albums and two EPs since 2001. Sometimes personal, sometimes topical, No Sign of Morning blends strong atmospheres and narratives to create a series of urban tales that provide a snapshot of English life in the early part of the 21st century.

London based Moonshot (Daniel Kent and Richard Wolfe) combine dark, urban beats with pop melodies to create songs that are challenging yet accessible. Blending the pop sensibilities of 80s electronic bands trip hop and profound social messages, Moonshot occupy a unique and relevant space in the current music scene.

Enticingly magical, Moonshot manage to create a soundscape of darkness with a biting social commentary on the world today. Melding elements of Pet Shop Boy and Depeche Mode the band create a unique and atmospheric sound that is both chilled but thought provoking. Always refining and always evolving, Moonshot are the musical equivalent of a Polaroid camera issuing a music photograph of the world today.
